Halifax, Nova Scotia, 1 July 2007…Canadian author Betty Dobson's short story "Baby Angels" jumped back onto Amazon.com's bestseller list in June 2007.

"Baby Angels" made its debut as part of Amazon.com's innovative Amazon Shorts program in October 2006 and hit the Amazon Shorts bestseller list two months later. Now her story is back, stronger than before, rising as high as number five on the Amazon Shorts bestseller list (number three for Literature & Fiction).

And the reviews have been unanimously positive. "Subtle, thought-provoking, and downright entertaining," fellow Shorts author John W. Cassell says. "For best results read this one when your head is clear...Betty Dobson makes you use it!!! Five Stars."

Over the years, her award-winning short fiction has appeared in such diverse publications as Apollo's Lyre, Brady Magazine, Eros & Rust, From the Asylum, Jerry Jazz Musician, Toasted Cheese, and Writer Gazette, as well as the anthologies Journey and The WritersNet Anthology of Prose: Fiction.

The Amazon Shorts program provides a unique opportunity for writers to reach a broader readership with short, inexpensive works. Shorts are electronic and available exclusively through Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/shorts. The direct link to "Baby Angels" is http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Angels/dp/B000JMK8KQ.
