Writers are generally a solitary breed. We toil over our words day after day, rarely working with others. To combat loneliness, we mingle with other writers. Sometimes we join critique groups or attend workshops. With greater frequency, we turn to online mailing lists for a sense of companionship. Literary Lapse currently has over 100 members - poets, essayists, and short story writers. Regular writing prompts keep our creative juices flowing. The list evolved in 2004 to include a monthly writing contest affiliated with InkSpotter News. We're compiling our first anthology--Backless, Strapless and Slit to the Throat, featuring prose and poetry inspired by the femme fatale--and making plans for a poetry anthology. There's no telling where the future might take us. Join now and be part of the journey. To join the Literary Lapse mailing list, send us a blank e-mail. |
